A manual written by and for people living in control units" compiled and edited by Bonnie Kerness, Prison Watch Program and American Friends Service Committee, November 2008. This manual features letters and poetry from prisoners describing life in control units.  They describe how to survive while in solitary community and once released to the community outside.
